Track a buddy on London Revoultion May 2015

Tim Goodall — May 05, 2015 12:27PM BST

My buddy is doing this. I want to track him. I see the event is on your events already.
So he needs to "attend" first - is that correct ?
If he sets himself a "Public" , I do not need a consent from him to follow - correct?
I want to track him on my iPhone and have MapMyTracks Outfront loaded. What steps do I need to do and should I do this from Laptop before setting off with my iPhone?
Will I be able to see the map and his tracking marker on my iPhone ?

Thanks for your help

If your buddy is doing the event then yes he should log into Map My Tracks, go to the event and click Attend.

Then on the day of the event he must start a "Public" activity when he is about to set off. This will present his progress on the event map along with everyone else that might be tracking live.

If you simply want to follow him and no one else then you can 'Follow' him on Map My Tracks by going to his profile and clicking 'Follow'.

This will place him in your Friends feed in the your app. On the day you can open your app and then see his progress.
