endurance track/log not seen in mapmytracks

graeme mccarthy — Jun 10, 2015 11:34AM BST

Pro user. Used Endurance (Android) but this activity not seen by my followers (live) nor me after the event using the MapMyTracks browser. This is the main reason I'm using MapMyTracks.

I may have got it: a) I needed to restart Endurance after setting up MMT Plus account -- fair enough, b) the GPS needs to be ON for Endurance to log the track -- seems odd.
I thought the whole point of Endurance was that it switched on the GPS when it needed to send/log the position then switched it off again???

I'm using this system for Ultras so need the low power usage.
Anyone seen this with Android (lollipop on Samsung Note 4)

The Endurance is designed as a live tracking app only which means that it needs to have a data network available to send the last location update. Because the app is designed to be a low energy alternative to tracking we deliberately keep the app's features very basic.

In the event that there is no network coverage the last location will not be sent and it then continues onto the next update, and so on. As soon as it has a network it will start to show your current location to followers but without a history.

If you need a history of data then our other app OutFront will do that.
