Are goals available for all users?

No, only PLUS members of Map My Tracks can create goals.


Where do I create my goals?

PLUS members can create goals in both the Map My Tracks app and the website.


In the app, open the menu and select Goals.


In the website, select Goals from the dropdown box under your username in the menu bar.


Do I need to add my goal twice; that is, once in the app and once in the website?

No. If you add a goal in the app, it will automatically be shown in the website. Likewise, if you create a goal in the website, it will automatically be shown in the app.


How do I create a goal in the app?

Open the menu and select Goals > Set A Goal > choose your goal type, activity type, target and dates > Save.


How do I create a goal in the website?

Select Goals from the dropdown box in the menu bar > click on Set a Goal in the top right corner of the webpage > choose your goal type, activity type, target and dates > Save Goal.


Can I create more than one goal?

Yes, you can create many goals at any time.


Can I create goals for dates in the future?

Yes, just select the future dates that you want for your goal.


Can I see my previous goals?

Yes, these are shown in the Previous tab in the app and the website.


Can I delete my goals?

Yes. To delete a goal, select the bin icon on the right-hand side of the goal.

If you delete a goal in the app, it will automatically be deleted in the website. Likewise, if you delete a goal in the website, it will automatically be deleted in the app.

Do I need to delete my goal twice; that is, once in the app and once in the website?

No. If you delete a goal in the app, it will be automatically deleted in the website, and vice versa.


I have accidentally deleted my goal. Can I reinstate it?

Yes, simply set the goal again and Map My Tracks will pull your data back in. You will then be able to see your goal again.


I cannot see my goal.

This may have happened because you did not click on Save when setting your goal. Set the goal again and make sure that you save it.


Alternatively, you may have set the dates for in the future and the goal has been saved in the Upcoming section, or you have set the dates in the past and it can be seen in the Previous section. In this case, delete the upcoming/previous goal and set a new goal with the correct dates.


What information is included in a goal?

Goal type (distance/duration/activities), activity type (the sport), target (number of miles/hours/activities) and start/end dates.


A bar that shows your current progress and target.


Target information: how much you need to do over the next day/week/month to achieve your goal. It also shows a countdown (daily/weekly/monthly).


Performance information: how much you have already done towards your target in terms of daily/weekly/monthly performance. It also shows how many days/weeks/months you have done.
